If you don’t like going to the movies, the TCL QM89 115-inch TV is ideal for you.
TCL was one of many companies to participate at this year’s Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas. What made the most impression on us was the TCL QM89 115-inch TV that was announced at the tradeshow. This gigantic TV has a gorgeous screen, even though it weighs more than most of you do. The product impressed us so much that we decided to send one of our CES 2024 awards to TCL for the TCL 115QM89.
The TCL QM89 is a 115-inch, the largest single-display TV out there
If you have a 65-inch TV around the house, do note that is technically about four times bigger than that. Let that sink in for a second. TCL’s new offering is gigantic and ideal for home movie theater-type setups. It weighs around 250 lbs (113 kg), which is basically more than the vast majority of people out there.
In case you were wondering, yes, this is a TV with the largest single display on the market. There are larger offerings out there, but not single-display offerings. TCL says that this panel has a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The display can get immensely bright, and no matter how much ambient light hits it, you’ll be good to go, and won’t have to worry about glare. Which is great considering what a huge canvas you’re getting here.
You’re getting a 4K panel here with 20,000 dimming zones, and a proper speaker system
You’re getting a 115-inch canvas here with a 4K display resolution. It uses TCL’s newest backlight system too, which is known as QD Mini LED Ultimate, which comes with 20,000 dimming zones. The company’s latest image processor is also in use here, the AIPQ Ultra processor. On top of all that, this monster includes a 6.2.2-channel Dolby Atmos speaker system.
Many of you are probably wondering about the price of this TV. That’s something TCL hasn’t shared just yet. What TCL did tell us, however, is that it will be rather cheap for what it is. Those are great news. So don’t expect it to be cheap, as that’s impossible considering what you’re getting here, but it won’t be as expensive as you may think. TCL is expected to share more information in the near future.
