The Lenovo Glasses T1 bring a huge display right in front of your eyes.

We’ve seen all sorts of different products at this year’s IFA. The Lenovo Glasses T1 managed to attract our attention, quite a bit, actually, and we’ve decided to send one of our IFA 2022 awards Lenovo’s way. Glasses like these are not exactly mainstream. They basically make it possible to get a huge display right in front of your eyes, and Lenovo managed to pack in a lot of tech inside this package.

This was not the company’s only product at IFA, though, not at all. Lenovo also announced a pair of new tablets, and a foldable laptop aka a laptop whose display folds. That laptop’s name is the ThinkPad X1 Fold, and it’s also one of the products that we decided to award. In this article, we’ll focus on the Lenovo Glasses T1, though, of course. So, if you’d like to know more, read on.

A huge display right in front of your eyes

Think of the Lenovo Glasses T1 as your own movie theater, but also a productivity tool. These glasses place a fullHD OLED display right in front of your eyes. Lenovo opted for two micro-OLED screens here. Do note that these are not VR or AR glasses, or anything of the sort. The usage is much simpler for these, but that’s not a bad thing. These are meant to be used at home, or at work, they’re not meant to be used for walking around.

You can easily use these to watch a movie or play games, as you’ll have a huge canvas in front of your eyes. On the flip side, you can also use them while working, because everyone can use a large display for work, right? There are a lot of use scenarios for them, that’s for sure. In fact, you don’t have to lug around your huge monitor for business trips, you can just use these instead when your laptop’s display simply isn’t large/immersive enough. You’ll also get complete privacy with these, as nobody will be able to see what you see. That makes them perfect for plane rides as well, and similar scenarios.

Easy connectivity & excellent compatibility

The Lenovo Glasses T1 connect via a wire, though they are battery-powered. They come with a Type-C connection, and you can easily connect them to a wide range of devices. They can be connected to your PC, tablet, smartphone, Mac, and other devices that can output video content via a USB-C connection. Yes, you can connect these to your iPhone as well, but that will require some additional adapters, which is often the case with Apple’s devices.

Design & sound

The Lenovo Glasses T1 actually look really nice. Devices such as these tend to look immensely bulky, and quite frankly ugly. That’s not the case here, however. They cannot exactly be as small as regular sunglasses, but they sure look like one. On top of everything, Lenovo included Hi-fi speakers here. The glasses are also made in such a way so that they fit a wide array of people, well, their faces.
