Doosan Robotics and veils new cobots for CES 2024

Starting off the list we have Oscar The Sorter. This was a CES 2024 Innovation Award Honoree. This is a robot that could really help when it comes to recycling. Right now a lot of recycling depends on human beings, as robots just aren’t advanced enough to be able to differentiate between recyclables and nonrecyclables. The issue is that it takes a lot of manpower just to sort through items.

However, Oscar The Sorter is a cobot that can actually help in that regard. The AI in Oscar is advanced enough to identify different types of items, even crushed items. This makes it great for identifying recyclables. A company called TDK Qeexo was able to supply the machine learning prowess for Oscar The Sorter.

Next up, the company unveiled Otto Matic. This is a robot that can help with factory and warehouse work. It is a depalletizing and palletizing solution for handling different-sized boxes. So, it can assist human beings when it comes to working with products of different sizes. It can assist in putting products onto pallets and taking them off. That frees up people to do other tasks.

If you ever wanted a robot to make your drink, you can look to Mixmaster Moodie. This is a bartending cobot that’s powered by ChatGPT. Also, it’s powered by Tetote, a Bridgestone’s soft robot hand powered by bendy rubber artificial muscle technology. This allows it to handle different drinks seamlessly.

These are great innovations that help push forward the field of Robotics and artificial intelligence. We’re all excited to see where these companies go in the future and what other products they will unveil.
