Eve has just announced its AirPlay 2 receiver box, called the Eve Play and it’s going to go on sale November 14. Just in time for the holidays. So what does this $149.95 AirPlay 2 receiver box include? Well, actually quite a bit.

From what Eve has confirmed about this receiver, it looks like it is aimed at audiophiles and helping to make their HiFi gear smarter, and compatible with AirPlay 2. It has optical, coaxial, and RCA audio outputs, as well as 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, with a built-in DAC and an ethernet port. The company also mentions that you can adjust the latency between speakers automatically, or manually using the Eve app’s Audio Sync feature. That’s a big deal for using multi-room audio, since this is really just a box for AirPlay 2, latency is expected.

Receivers like this, with AirPlay 2 support are pretty few and far between. So if you are looking to get a new AirPlay 2 receiver, then this might be the one to get – in November. And even at $150, it’s still a whole lot cheaper than replacing all of your speakers in your home, many of which are likely not under that price tag.

Eve is also a wireless temperature sensor

That’s not all that Eve is bringing to IFA this year. It is also debuting a Thermo Control wireless temperature sensor, which does work with Matter. It’s a portable thermostat for the Eve Thermo smart radiator valve (which is Europe only).

The Thermo Control Sensor is pretty cool looking and sports an e-ink display, with capacitive buttons for adjusting your temperature. It’s also coming on November 14 and will cost €79.95.

Finally, the Eve MotionBlinds is getting a software update that will bring Matter support. That will bring their Adaptive Shading feature to the smart shades as well. Eve says that this update will start to roll out on November 14.
