After countless renders and a few real-life images, we now have a leaked hands-on video of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. A short video posted on X shows the upcoming Samsung flagship’s flat display with AOD (always-on display) enabled. The device launches on January 17 alongside the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+.

Leaked video shows Galaxy S24 Ultra’s flat display

The leaked hands-on video of the Galaxy S24 Ultra was originally posted by noted tipster Ice Universe. The video was later deleted—it was likely a DMCA takedown from Samsung. However, a few other X users re-uploaded it. Unless Samsung strikes again, you can watch it here or a little below in this article.

According to Ice Universe, the video came from a protective film manufacturer. Someone at the firm recorded the video before and after applying the protective film on the Galaxy S24 Ultra and leaked it online. You can see an additional layer of glass on top of the phone’s display toward the end of the video.

This leak doesn’t reveal anything that we don’t already know about the new Samsung flagship. The device sports a flat display, a major design change over the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s curved display. The new model also switches from an Aluminum frame to a Titanium frame. The unit seen in the video appears to be the violet color variant. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will also come in Gray, Black, and Yellow colors.

The other two models will also be available in the same four colors but with an Aluminum frame. As usual, Samsung will offer a few extra colorways exclusively through its official website. It always does that and is already teasing the same for the upcoming flagship lineup. Green, Blue, and Orange could be the three exclusive color options for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The new Samsung flagships debut in less than a week

Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy S24 lineup will go official on January 17, i.e. the coming Wednesday. The launch event, aka Galaxy Unpacked, will take place in San Jose and will be streamed live on its official website and YouTube channel. The company will open pre-orders for the phones immediately after launch. It will also open temporary Galaxy Experience Spaces in several cities around the world to let fans try the devices in person before buying them. Just a few more days to go now before the official unveiling.
