Google has announced the Pixel Fold today, its very first foldable smartphone. The device is not yet available for purchase, but you can pre-order the Pixel Fold as we speak, if you want.

The Pixel Fold is now available to pre-order, in case you’re interested

The thing is, the device is available directly from Google only, at the moment. You can pre-order it from the Google Store. It will become available via carriers and retailers, but towards the end of the month. For the moment, it’s exclusive to the Google Store. Here are the pre-order links:

  • Google Pixel Fold (256GB storage) – $1,799 (Google Store)
  • Google Pixel Fold (512GB storage) – $1,919 (Google Store)

As you can see, you can grab the phone in two different storage options. The more affordable variant comes with 256GB of storage, and has the same launch price as the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Double the storage will cost you extra, you’ll have to pay $1,819.

The Pixel Fold won’t go on sale until next month, however, so you’ll have to wait for a bit until you get it. The device is expected to go on sale on June 27.

We finally have a foldable Pixel with Google’s software that many Android users really love. On top of that, Google’s image processing is also a part of the package, so no wonder some people were excited about this phone.

It comes with a rather powerful set of specs

The Pixel Fold doesn’t disappoint in the spec department. It doesn’t have the most powerful specs on the market, but it’s on the same level as Google’s regular flagship smartphones, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

It comes with the Google Tensor G2 processor, along with 12GB of RAM. The device supports fast wired, and also wireless charging, while Android 13 comes pre-installed on it.

Both its main and secondary displays offer a 120Hz refresh rate, and they’re also rather close in terms of brightness. These are both AMOLED displays, and only the outer panel has a display camera hole.
