This is the upcoming HTC Desire 20 Pro. The device has surfaced on Evan Blass’s Patreon page. This is the real-life image of the HTC Desire 20 Pro, which basically confirms its design.
This is not the first leak of this phone we’ve seen, but it’s quite possibly the best one yet. That being said, this phone will pack four cameras on the back, it seems. Those cameras will sit in the top-left corner of its back.
A dual-LED flash will be placed right next to those cameras, and the same goes for the fingerprint scanner. HTC opted for a regular, capacitive fingerprint scanner here. HTC’s logo is also present on the back.
The back side of this phone is curved towards the edges, and it has a rather interesting pattern on the back. We don’t know if this is glass or plastic on the back, but we’ll find out soon, as the phone is scheduled to arrive soon.
The HTC Desire 20 Pro design, and everything else, will be confirmed on June 16
The HTC Desire 20 Pro will launch on June 16, so in five days. That date has been officially confirmed by the company, by the way, so it’s set in stone at this point.
Now, the provided image does not really give us a lot of information about the phone’s front, as the display is powered off. Well, you can expect to see a display camera hole in the top-left corner.
The phone’s display will be flat, while its physical buttons will sit on the right side. The volume up and down buttons will be placed above the power / lock key.
A Type-C port is expected on the bottom of the device, along with a Type-C USB port. We’re not sure if a 3.5mm headphone jack will be a part of this package or not.
Now, in terms of specs, this will be a mid-range smartphone, at best. It will be fueled by the Snapdragon 665 64-bit octa-core processor. On top of that, it will include 6GB of RAM.
We’re not sure how large its display will be, but you can expect it to be quite big. The resolution of that display will be 2340 x 1080, in other words, it will be a fullHD+ display.
Android 10 will come pre-installed, while we don’t know the price tag yet
Android 10 will come pre-installed on this phone, and that is pretty much everything we know at this point. We’re not sure how much it will cost, but it should be quite affordable, given the specs.
The phone will launch in Taiwan first, but it could make its way to other markets as well. HTC took a bit of a hiatus when it comes to releasing smartphones, but it seems to be back at it.
