HTC is rumored to launch the Desire 20 Pro along with its first 5G smartphone in the coming months. The leaked schematic has revealed some key features of the mid-range device. Now, the device is featured in the Google Play Console’s Device Catalog revealing key specifications.

The Desire 20 Pro is internally codenamed as “htc_bymdugl” and comes with the model name HTC 2Q9J10000. The company launched the Desire 12 and Desire 19 smartphones in 2018 and 2019 respectively. However, the last Desire Pro smartphone was launched way back in 2016 in the form of the Desire 10 Pro.

HTC Desire 20 Pro Key Specifications

Talking about the leaked specifications, the HTC Desire 20 Pro will be featuring 11nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. While the display size is still unknown, it will offer Full HD+ resolution with 2340 by 1080 pixels and 400 PPI.

Previous leaks revealed the device to feature a 3.5mm audio jack. It is also listed on Geekbench where it has scored 312 on single-core and 1367 on multi-core tests. Both the Google Play Console and Geekbench listings confirm the device to offer 6GB of RAM.

It will be the first HTC smartphone to come with Android 10

Moreover, the Desire 20 Pro will also be the first HTC smartphone to run on Android 10 out of the box. As of now, there is no other information available about this device. The device will sport a punch-hole display on the front, a first for the brand.

While the bezels on the image look very thin, we should be prepared to see thicker bezels. Even the premium flagship smartphone didn’t achieved such a thin bezel on the bottom. On the rear, the Desire 20 Pro will be equipped with quad camera setup along with a LED flash and circular fingerprint scanner.

The cameras vertically aligned and are placed on the top left corner. Also, the lack of in-display fingerprint scanner suggests the device to sport LCD panel over AMOLED panel. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge.

On the other hand, the 5G HTC smartphone will be coming with either Snapdragon 865 or 765G chipset. It will be successor to HTC U12+ launched in May 2018. While Google Pixel 5 is rumored to skip the Motion Sense feature, we expect the company to continue to include Edge Sense technology.

Both these smartphones are expected to be unveiled in the month of July. If this is true, then we might seen an official announcement revealing the launch date of these new HTC smartphones in the next few weeks.
