The Huawei Mate 20 series debuted in late 2018, arriving as a premium smartphone line from the company. When first announced, the series consisted of two main flavors, the standard model and a “Pro” version.
As is the case with Huawei in general, both of these models come with a heightened focus on AI and camera capabilities. Along with a premium design and build quality, making both models great devices to own.
Speaking of which, by entering this contest you will have the opportunity to own a Mate 20 smartphone for free, courtesy of Android Headlines.
We are actually giving away three smartphones in total. One of them is a Huawei Mate 20 Pro and the other two prizes are Huawei Mate 20 smartphones. To be clear, there are three chances to win here.
The standard Huawei Mate 20 is actually the larger of the two models due to the inclusion of a 6.53-inch LCD display, along with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio and a 2160 x 1080 resolution. Inside, you’ll find up to 6GB RAM, 128 GB storage, a Huawei Kirin 980 octa-core SoC, and a 4,000 mAh capacity battery.
This compares to the Pro model which features a 6.39-inch curved OLED display, along with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 3,120 x 1,440 resolution. As well as 6GB RAM, the same storage and SoC, and a 4,200 mAh capacity battery. This model also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor – the standard model does not.
The differences don’t stop there either as although both phones feature a triple camera setup on the back, they use different configurations. The standard model boasts a setup made up of a 12-megapixel main sensor coupled with 8-megapixel and 16-megapixel modules – telephoto and ultra-wide, respectively. The Pro model features a 40-megapixel main sensor, along with 8-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors.
The front design is also a little different as although they both come with the same 24-megapixel front-facing camera, the notch on the Pro model is larger due to its included 3D facial recognition technology – another of the Pro’s main selling features.
