Nokia has announced yet another Android Go Edition smartphone, the Nokia C02. This phone follows the Nokia C12 which launched last month. Considering this is an Android Go smartphone, you can immediately tell that it’s an entry-level device.

As you can see in the provided images, the bezels on the phone are quite noticeable. There is, at least, no display notch, or hole here. The phone seems to be made out of plastic, and there’s a single camera on the back of it.

The specs are nothing to write home about, but that is to be expected. This handset is fueled by a 1.4GHz quad-core Unisoc SoC. The phone includes 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card).

It has a removable battery, and allows for storage expansion

Android 12 Go Edition software comes pre-installed on this phone, while a 3,000mAh battery is also included, and it is removable. The device supports 5W charging, and a charger is included in the box. The Nokia C02 is also splash resistant (IP52).

A 5-megapixel main camera is included on the back, as is an LED flash. A single 2-megapixel camera sits on the front side of the device. There are also two SIM card slots included here (2x nano SIM), and a separate microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Bluetooth 4.2 is supported here, and there’s, unfortunately, a micro USB port at the bottom. The phone does support 4G connectivity (with VoLTE), and has an audio jack too. FM Radio is supported here too.

The phone launched in two color options

The Nokia C02 measures 148.7 x 71.2 x 10mm, while it weighs 191 grams. The phone comes in Dark Cyan and Charcoal colors, both of which are shown in the provided images.

We still don’t have any information on the availability. That goes for both the phone’s price tag, and the markets it will be available in. It did pop up in India, though, so it will be on offer there for sure.
