A new Android Go phone is here, and its name is the Nokia C12. This is a budget smartphone, of course, as it comes with the Android Go edition pre-installed. Speaking of which, it’s the Android 12 Go edition, just to be clear.

The Nokia C12 is here with Android Go software and a removable battery

This phone is here to succeed the Nokia C10 which arrived back in 2021. No, the Nokia C11 never appeared. This handset comes with a waterdrop display notch, as you can see, and a rather thick bottom bezel. That is normal to see in such budget devices.

On the back, you’ll spot a single camera, which is a part of an interesting-looking camera island. That camera sits in the top-left corner of the phone’s back side. There is one speaker on this phone, and it’s rear-facing. All the physical buttons sit on the right-hand side of the phone.

The company says that this phone features a “Nordic design” which is ergonomically designed for a better grip. The phone is fueled by the Unisoc SC9863A SoC, which is an octa-core processor.

This phone does have a notch, and you can expand its storage

This handset features a 6.3-inch HD+ (1600 x 720) V-notch display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a 2D Toughened glass on it. The company also included 2GB of RAM here, and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage. That storage is expandable via a microSD card.

A 3,000mAh battery is also included, and it is removable. There are two SIM card slots included here, and a separate microSD card slot. An audio jack is also a part of the package, as is FM Radio support.

The phone is IP52 certified, which basically means it’s dust and splash proof. A single 8-megapixel camera sits on the back of the phone, along with an LED flash. A 5-megapixel camera can be found on the front.

The Nokia C12 supports 4G VoLTE, and comes with Bluetooth 5.2. It comes in Dark Cyan, Charcoal, and Light Mint color options. It’s priced at €‎119 ($128). It will first get released in Austria and Germany, but it’s coming to more markets soon after that.
