Nokia is readying a new budget 5G smartphone, or two. The company may launch the same device with two different names in different parts of the world. The US version of the phone may be called the Nokia G310 5G, while the Finnish brand may sell it as the Nokia G42 5G in other markets. We don’t yet have a precise launch date, though.

Rumors about the Nokia G42 5G have been doing rounds on the internet since May-end. Codenamed Shadow, the device leaked in a retail listing to give us some early specs last month. A Geekbench entry followed soon, divulging more details. Now, the unannounced phone has popped up on the Bluetooth SIG website with detailed specs. The listing also confirms the existence of a rebranded version for the US market, i.e. Nokia G310 5G.

Spotted by Nokiamob.net, the Bluetooth SIG certification for the upcoming Nokia phone mentions three model numbers: TA-1573, TA-1581, and TA-1591. The former corresponds to the Nokia G310 5G while the latter two are for the Nokia G42 5G. However, the listed specs of the two devices are the same. There’s not a single difference, confirming that they are the same device with different names. The publication says the former is the US version.
