Google just announced the new Pixel Tablet, and we’re all anxious to get our hands on it. It’s a very capable device that can do plenty of tasks to make life easier, but there is one that makes it an industry first. The Pixel Tablet is the first tablet to have Chromecast built-in.

The Pixel Tablet will come with Chromecast built-in

The Pixel Tablet is capable of a lot of different things, like being able to dock and turn into a Nest Hub display. The device has four speakers to give you a powerful and full audio experience. However, if you want to throw that experience to different devices, you can.

With Chromecast built-in, you’re able to cast your music directly to external smart speakers that support the technology. If you have a large sound system, and you want to use your Pixel Tablet as the control device, you can simply cast the audio over to the speaker system.

If you want to watch content on a bigger screen, you can do so by casting the video over to a compatible Smart TV. You will still be able to control it using your tablet.

You can pre-order the Pixel Tablet for $499 starting today. Google told us that the device will officially start shipping out next month, but it did not give us a specific day.

For the $499 price, you also have the charging dock included with the purchase. If you want to add a case to your device with the additional kickstand, that will run you back an additional $79. Click here to put in your pre-order for the Pixel Tablet.
