In addition to the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, the company is also debuting its new Q Series. Starting out with the Roborock Q7 Max.

Essentially, Roborock is recreating its most popular robot vacuum – the S5 Max – and making it more modern with plenty of upgrades, and a self-emptying dock. The reason for this, is to make self-emptying a staple feature. Instead of it just being available on its more expensive robot vacuums.

We don’t have a price yet for the Roborock Q7 Max, but it is set to launch in the second quarter.

It sports all of the usual features you’d expect from a Roborock vacuum. That includes powerful 2500Pa suction power, the ability to set no-go zones, and the ability to map out your home. So you can control where it goes, and where it doesn’t go. It will also allow you to adjust the suction power in different rooms. So it can use more suction in the bedrooms and less in the kitchen where there’s no carpet, and so on.

Another redesigned self-emptying dock

Roborock also debuted a new self-emptying dock with the Q7 Max. It looks similar to the Ultra-Dock that is available on the S7 MaxV Ultra, but with less features. Instead of being able to refill the water tank and clean the mopping pad, this one just empties the dustbin.

This new dock is called the Auto Empty Dock Pure. It will be sold in a bundle with the Roborock Q7 Max, and also separately if you decide to pick it up later on.

This is a pretty impressive robot vacuum from Roborock, and it shows that you don’t need to buy it’s most expensive robot vacuum to get a good robot vacuum that can also empty itself. It should come in much cheaper than the S7 MaxV Ultra and likely cheaper than the S7+ which is around $949.
