Samsung has released the Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G in the US. The two affordable 5G smartphones are available for purchase from the company’s official website and Amazon. They are priced at $199.99 and $299.99, respectively.

Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G are now available in the US

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G last month. The devices first arrived in select Asian and European countries such as Vietnam and France. The Korean firm gradually expanded the availability of the phones to more markets. At the end of December, they went on sale in India. The company has now released both phones in the US.

Both phones sport a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ (1080×2340 pixels) resolution and a centered U-shaped notch. However, while the Galaxy A15 5G’s display has a 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of peak brightness, the Galaxy A25 5G bumps things up to 120Hz and 1,000 nits. You get Vision Booster on both models for an enhanced viewing experience.

These devices also have the same primary rear camera, a 50MP unit with an f/1.8 aperture. However, Samsung offers OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) on the Galaxy A25 5G only. This phone also has an 8MP ultrawide lens instead of the 5MP unit found on the Galaxy A15 5G. The 2MP macro camera and 13MP selfie camera remain unchanged across the two models.

Coming to the chipset, the Galaxy A15 5G features MediaTek’s 6nm Dimensity 6100+ SoC operating at up to 2.2GHz. The other model gets Samsung’s Exynos 1280, a 5nm chip with a peak speed of 2.4GHz—it powered the Galaxy A53 in 2022. While the devices are available in multiple storage and memory configurations in other regions, Samsung is only selling them with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage stateside.

A 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging speed

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G with a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at up to 25W speed via a USB Type-C port. Neither model supports wireless charging. The phones boast a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner and Knox security. They run Android 14-based One UI 6.0 out of the box and are eligible for four generations of Android OS upgrades (up to Android 18) and five years of security updates.
