Samsung announced three new smartphones today, its Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy S24+ is the middle child in the lineup, and based on its specs it’s also halfway to the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Ultra. That being said, we’ll take a closer look at the Galaxy S24+ specifications in this article.
The Galaxy S24+ specifications are quite powerful too, though not to the Ultra’s level
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 by Qualcomm fuels this smartphone in most markets, including the US. The Exynos 2400 will be included in other markets, like throughout Europe, for example. Samsung included 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM inside of this smartphone. Both 256GB and 512GB UFS 4.0 flash storage models are on offer. The storage is non-expandable, though.
A 6.7-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440, 516 PPI) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display is included here. This panel is flat, and it’s a ‘Super Smooth’ display. An LTPO panel that offers an adaptive refresh rate between 1 and 120Hz. ‘Vision booster’ is also included here, and the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus Armor.
45W charging is supported, while three cameras sit on the back
A 4,900mAh battery sits inside of this smartphone. The device supports 45W wired charging, but a charger is not included in the package. All you’re getting is a charging cable. Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 (15W) is also supported, as is Wireless PowerShare (15W) aka reverse wireless charging.
A 50-megapixel main camera (wide, f/1.8 aperture, 85-degree FoV, OIS) is backed by a 12-megapixel ultrawide unit (f/2.2 aperture, 120-degree FoV). A 10-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.4 aperture, 36-degree FoV, 3x optical zoom) rounds up the rear camera setup. On the front, you’ll find a 12-megapixel selfie shooter (f/2.2 aperture, 80-degree FoV).
Android 14 comes pre-installed, and there are plenty of colors to choose from
Android 14 comes pre-installed on the Galaxy S24+. Samsung’s One UI 6.1 skin comes pre-installed on top of it. Bluetooth 5.3 is also supported here, and so is Wi-Fi 6E. The phone is IP68 certified and comes with a set of stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos support.
Samsung announced Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Marble Gray, and Onyx Black color options of the phone. In addition to those standard colors, some Samsung Store exclusives (online) will also be available. Those colors are Jade Green, Sandstone Orange, and Sapphire Blue.
The Galaxy S24+ measures 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.7mm, while it weighs 196 grams.
