The Samsung Odyssey G9 is one of the better ultrawide gaming monitor options out there, and right now Amazon is offering it at a discount of $200 off. Worth noting is that this is the latest version of the Odyssey G9 (the G95C) and is the 2024 model. This comes with an updated stand and an updated design language of the latest OLED Odyssey monitors that Samsung offers. The G95C Odyssey G9 refresh would regularly cost you $1,299.99, but you can grab it on Amazon right now for $1,099.99 instead.
Since this is a new monitor, the $200 savings is worth it. And if you’re looking for a slick gaming monitor to upgrade your current one, this is the monitor you should get. The G95C is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified and it has the same 1000R curve that the original G9 came with when it launched a few years ago. It also still has the 240Hz refresh rate display and the Dual QHD resolution.
The coolest feature of this monitor is the Picture-By-Picture mode. When you turn this on you can split the monitor up to have picture from two sources side by side at the same time. If you wanted to, this means you could connect two PCs to the monitor and have them both running on the monitor simultaneously. This makes for a really neat use case if you’re playing games with another person. You could also use this to view the picture from your console on one side, and your PC on the other.
