Amazon is offering a discount on the 1TB SanDisk microSDXC card that’s officially licensed for the Nintendo Switch bringing the price down by $40. The regular price for this card is $149.99 but during this sale, it’s only $109.99.

The Nintendo Switch is a wonderful little portable console and I absolutely love it. However, it doesn’t come with a ton of internal storage. And at some point, you’re going to run out of space. Nintendo Switch games are admittedly fairly small in terms of file size for the most part. At least for most games. But some take up more space and the Switch only has 64GB to work with. That will fill up fast if most of your games are going to be digital. So it’s highly recommended to pick up a microSD card to add more storage.

With this one being 1TB you’ll have plenty of space for your games. You could even extend that a bit by picking up some of your games in their physical editions. Since this is a card that’s licensed officially for the Nintendo Switch you can rest assured it’ll work amazingly well for downloads and load times. Read and write speeds are up to 100MB/s and 90MB/s respectively.

I’m using a similarly fast microSD card from SanDisk for my own Nintendo Switch. And it does make a big difference for load times. Games load up quickly so I can get into the game faster. And that can make a huge difference if you use your Switch on commutes where you’ll only have so much time to play.

When it comes down to it, 1TB of storage for $40 less than normal is just a good deal. If you don’t already have a card for your Switch, or you need more space, you can pick up the SanDisk 1TB microSDXC card from Amazon.
