TCL has just announced its latest 6-series 4K Roku TV at IFA in Berlin this week. This new model is basically the perfect TV for gamers. Not only does it have Roku built-in, but it also is capable of 4K resolution at 144Hz. The previous model was capped at 1440p at 120Hz. So this is a nice upgrade, and is going to make gaming a whole lot smoother.

This is still a Mini LED TV, so you’re getting some really incredible picture quality here. With big brightness and deep black levels. There is also up to 360 dimming zones on this one, so you won’t see gray as a black color. There’s also support for Dolby Vision here. As well as HDR10, HDR10 Plus and HLG, for HDR.

There’s two HDMI 2.1 ports too

On top of that, the TCL 6-Series also includes two HDMI 2.1 ports on the back, while the other two are HDMI 2.0 with one being an eARC port for your sound bar. Which means you can plug in your Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 into each of the HDMI 2.1 ports, and plug in a sound bar to the fourth HDMI port and still have one available for something else. That’s really smart on TCL’s side.

This is only coming in a Roku version this year. TCL typically releases Roku one year and then its Google TV counterpart the following year. Since it doesn’t really need to release a new model every single year. So for those that want Google TV, you’ll have to wait til next year, or just plug in a Chromecast with Google TV.

So how much will this TV cost you? It’s going to come in 55-, 65-, and 75-inch models. And it’ll be priced at $699, $999 and $1499 respectively. That is a steal for a TV that can do 4K/144Hz and is also a Mini LED TV.
