This month’s top 5 best Chinese smartphones list is noticeably different than last month’s, mainly due to the inclusion of newly-announced flagships that Huawei and Xiaomi announced recently. The Huawei P20 Pro is not only included on this list now, but it’s leading the pack, as it’s quite a compelling smartphone, as we’ve been able to find out while we were reviewing it. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S also made the list, it’s the most powerful smartphone that Xiaomi announced to date, and it sports considerably improvements in the camera department compared to its predecessor, the Mi MIX 2.

5. Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is not a high-end smartphone, far from it, but it’s one of the most compelling mid-range offerings out there, especially if you consider its price tag. This handset is made out of metal, and it sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. Its bezels are not thick at all, and the device features a 5.99-inch fullHD+ display. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor, while it includes 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of native storage, which is expandable, by the way. 4. OnePlus 5T

The OnePlus 6 is right around the corner, and yet its predecessor is still quite a compelling smartphone. The OnePlus 5T is a metal-clad handset which is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, and which comes with a 3,300mAh battery. The phone sports a 6.01-inch fullHD+ Optic AMOLED display, while it comes in both 6GB and 8GB RAM flavors. 16 and 20-megapixel shooters are included on the back of the phone, while a fingerprint scanner sits on the back of the device as well. 3. Honor 10

The Honor 10 is Honor’s all-new flagship smartphone, which resembles the Huawei P20 quite a bit. This phone is made out of metal, while it sports a display notch. The device is fueled by the Kirin 970 64-bit octa-core SoC, just like the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, while a 5.84-inch fullHD+ display sits on the phone’s front side. The Honor 10 comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, which sport 64GB and 128GB of native storage, respectively. A 3,400mAh battery is included in this package as well, and the phone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, while Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.1 skin is included on top of it. This smartphone is now available in China, it launches on a global scale on May 15.
