Verizon has launched the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s, a business-ready PC that offers 5G Ultra-Wideband connectivity. Announced at MWC 2022 in February, the laptop is available to purchase from both Lenovo and Verizon. But let’s check out its specs first up.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X13s specifications

The Lenovo ThinkPad X13s is one of the first laptops to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor. This chipset has four ARM Cortex-X1 CPU cores operating at 3 GHz and four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4 GHz. The CPU is paired with an integrated Adreno 690 GPU, up to 32GB of soldered LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD Gen 4.

The laptop sports a 13.3-inch IPS screen with Full HD+ resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels), a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The touchscreen display comes with anti-glare technology and 300 nits of peak brightness. The screen may not be ideal for outdoor usage but the product isn’t designed for that either.

Lenovo has equipped the ThinkPad X13s with a 5-megapixel webcam for video conferences. It also helps in facial recognition. You get a fingerprint scanner as well for biometric authentication. The device packs a 49.5Wh battery that is rated to last for 28 hours on continuous video playback or 11 days on standby. It supports fast charging over USB Type-C. The laptop features two Type-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a SIM card slot. Other highlights include a backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.1, and Windows 11 Pro.

Price and availability

The pricing of the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s varies depending on where you buy it. Verizon is selling the 5G-enabled model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage capacity for $1,450 when you pay the full price without any contracts ($40.27 a month for 36 months). But if you sign up for a two-year commitment, the laptop will cost you $100 less.

If you don’t plan to use this laptop on Verizon’s Ultra-Wideband 5G network, you can buy it directly from Lenovo. The company has priced the base model of the ThinkPad X13s with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage capacity at $1,385. You get sub-6GHz 5G connectivity powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X55 modem. It is also available with a 1TB storage option for $1,571.

Additionally, Lenovo has a Wi-Fi-only variant of the ThinkPad X13s as well. The base model of this device costs $1,301. You get 32GB of RAM if you’re willing to shell out $1,439 on the laptop without 5G cellular connectivity. The device comes in a single black color option and ships immediately.
