For the past couple of years, YouTube has been hard at work battling TikTok with its Shorts. At the moment, there are a few ways that you can access these vertically scrolling videos. Be that as it may, YouTube is testing a new button that will take you to Shorts, according to the report.

The short-form video war is still going. TikToks, Reels, Shorts, and Snapchat Spotlights are all fighting for your attention. Because of this YouTube has been making its short-from videos more accessible.

When you open the app, you’ll see a carousel of shorts based on your viewing habits. It will be populated with Shorts from people you follow. You’ll also see some Shorts from people you don’t follow.

You can also access your Shorts from the button on the bottom bar. This will give you that classic vertical scrolling experience.

YouTube is testing a button that will make it easier to view Shorts

This is a button that we’ve seen on our phones here at Android Headlines, but it’s gone for some reason. The company seems to be testing this new feature on a select few users. If you want a chance to see this feature, make sure that your app is fully updated.

If you are a part of the test, you’ll see a little black Play button on the bottom right of the screen. When you tap on the button, you’ll be taken to a random Short. It’s like a “Just take me to a Short, I don’t care” button. When you tap on it, your fate is in the hands of the app, but the Short it takes you to is one based on your recommendations.

So, if you’re scrolling through the app without any idea of what to watch, you can tap on the button to have it just take you to a Short. We’re not sure when YouTube is going to make this public. Since we’ve seen it pop up, it shouldn’t be too long of a wait.
